I conducted interviews with acquaintances who have experienced or are currently dealing with mental health issues. I inquired about the phrases or comments they find unhelpful during their mental health crises and asked them to describe their emotional state during those periods. After receiving their consent to feature their responses on my website, I incorporated their diverse perspectives into my posters. I believe that this approach enables us to connect with a broader audience in need.
While I have personal experience with depression, I acknowledge that everyone's journey is unique. We all think and feel differently, shaped by our individual stories and backgrounds. My aim is for viewers to perceive our message as a personal and empathetic one, regardless of their specific circumstances. If they require support, we want them to know that we're here for them.
